Two days schooling for a refugee child from Syria
Mountain school for refugee children. The population in Lebanon, where now more than one million refugees from Syria live, suffer themselves great need. For years, the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco run the small village school in the mountain village Kartaba, located around 50 kilometers from Beirut. In light of the many refugee children the sisters opened the school. In the current school year around 110 children between 3 and 10 years of age are cared for in six classes and a kindergarten. Most of the children are refugees. Lessons, meals, supervision, preservation of the building including the heating - all costs money. This project is supervised by Jugend eine Welt.
