Paper and pencils for five children in South Sudan
Schools in South Sudan. Just a few years after its independence from Sudan, South Sudan slipped into civil war. The famine in spring 2017 further aggravated the situation for the impoverished population. Especially the children suffer from the hunger and the violence. Going to school means a normal everyday life for them, with at least one hot meal a day. Textbooks, notebooks and a pencil are their greatest treasure! Jugend Eine Welt supports schools in Gumbo, Tenj and Wau, as education is the only sustainable solution to the problems of the people in the country.
