Solar power for one school child in Cameroon
Solar power for education. When it’s dark outside, the children in Ekinguili primary school in Cameroon still sit concentrated on their homework. The classroom is brightly lit and the air is free from the usual smoke of the oil lamps, as these have been replaced by solar powered lights. The solar lights are powered by the solar panels on the school roof which were built thanks to Solafrica. The solar power also makes it possible for the children to use computers and the internet.
